ADC - Spring 2007 - Weather Forecast - Bring Back Global Cooling
Much like the rest of the world, the UAE is experiencing unusual weather patterns. We are assured by 20+ year expat veterans that this has been the wettest and coldest winter they can remember. We can surely class ourselves as hardened expats now as we had to resort to wearing fleeces in the house and break out the 7.5 Tog rated quilt.
The rain as ever has taken its toll of the driving population as the absence of drainage turns the roads into four-lane 90 mph skating rinks.
Fog too is very common at this time of year and there were reports of a 72 vehicle pile-up in Ras-al-Kaimah earlier this week.
Rain also had a significant effect on the sporting calendar (see SPORT – Rugby Sevens)
