ADC - Spring 2007 - Wellbeing Section 1

Despite her best efforts to resume normal service Di had to seek the help of many more opinions over her continually troublesome ankle. After MRI AND CAT scans, an arthroscopy and intensive physiotherapy had failed to alleviate her almost constant pain the consultant surgeon at Dubai Bone & Joint Clinic http://www.dbaj.ae/en/content/our_doctors_chris_watley.asp performed an osteotomy on (re-broke) the fibula, re-aligned it and fixed it with industrial strength plates and screws.

The results so far are encouraging and although she has not yet been allowed to put weight on her foot, we are optimistic that she will be “good to go” by the summer.
